Jason Orsini QB STALLIONS

After a sensational FALL 2013 season that culminated with VAPOR reclaiming its third championship in four seasons, the PFFL has selected the rosters for the All-Star game. Next week, the standout players from both the IRON and STEEL Conferences will do battle against each other.

While most of the names on the STEEL first team have been perennial All-Stars, two names in particular belong to players that garnered first team honors for the first times in their illustrious careers. Most notably, BALLZ DEEP Quarterback Steve Chockla impressed the All-Star Voting Committee with his 36 touchdowns and 75.6 completion percentage. Additionally, MYSTERY MEN Defensive Back Scott Kaercher (19 tackles, eight interceptions, one defensive TD) and VAPOR Wide Receiver Bryan Maldonado (54 receptions and eight TDs) burst onto the first team with convincing numbers. OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR Jay Martin led all receivers with 69 receptions and 20 touchdowns.

Jordan Fowler QB BILLY GOATZ

On the STEEL’s second team HORSEMEN Wide Receiver Rob Albro earned his spot after catching 24 passes and 13 TDs in just seven games. Also, talkative VAPOR Wide Receiver Marrio Poston validated his claim that he should be ranked higher on the top 50 list by catching 37 TDs with eight TDs last fall.

Similar to Chockla finally making the first team roster this year, STALLIONS’ Quarterback Jason Orsini will be starting for the IRON’s first team for the first time in his career. Orsini flourished last season, throwing 35 TDs against just one interception.

Although Orsini’s ascent to the first team was a bit shocking, no one will be shocked to learn that Jason Scott was selected as a starter for the IRON Conference team. Scott made PFFL history after he became the first player to win OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR and IRONMAN OF THE YEAR in the same season.

On the second team for the IRON, two BILLY GOATZ were voted to the All-Star team for the first time. Quarterback Jordan Fowler (31 touchdowns) and Wide Receiver Rick Douglas (45 receptions, 17 TDs) showed why they are young stars in this league.

Speaking of young stars, several other players performed at a high level last season. Cory Blotzer of WRENIS PINCKLES, CHIEFS’ Defensive Back Darren Scott, and Dustin Dean of CHARLIE’S FREAKIN’ ANGELS all delivered for their teams on both sides of the ball.
