In an epic showdown between VAPOR and their former teammate and All-Star Darius Prince VAPOR showed their grit in a 26-18 victory against CHARLIE’S FREAKIN’ ANGELS in the championship game.

All-Star Quarterback Cornell Mack was effective with an 84.2 percent completion rate and three touchdowns. His primary weapon of choice was underrated All-Star Wide Receiver Bryan “BM” Maldonado. BM displayed his “Top 50” skills by leading all receivers with 10 receptions and three touchdowns. Top 5 Defensive Back Ed Tozzi added two receptions and a touchdown.

Defensively VAPOR proved that they were up for the challenge of defending against Prince as a quarterback. Collectively, the defense contributed eight tackles, one sack, and one interception to stifle the ANGELS on key plays. Speaking of defense, All-Star Defensive Back Penny McClinton voiced his opinion about getting snubbed for DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR which was won by PRIMETIME’s Jason Scott.

“Yeah I got a snub, I’ll be honest,” McClinton bluntly said. “I’ve been snubbed at number 39 but once I got here you see what happens…”

Right before the fall season kicked off Prince told me that he left VAPOR for the ANGELS because he wanted to embrace the challenge of winning a championship at quarterback. Judging by his new team’s berth in the title game, I would say that Prince is a pretty good quarterback. Unfortunately, the second best player in league history was good but not great against his ex-teammates. Specifically, Prince completed only 56 percent of his passes for two touchdowns and one interception. Chris Kropf starred for the ANGELS with three touchdown receptions.

The last time the ANGELS played in the PFFL, they finished with a mediocre 5-5 record in the regular season. Obviously, the offseason acquisition of Prince transformed the former unknown team into a championship contender.

“I just think I brought a fire for real,” Prince explained. “The chemistry was off at first. We lost to PRIMETIME 22-0 in the regular season but we kept working.”

After the game Prince thanked his teammates for a great season—right before he hinted that he will be returning to VAPOR next year.

“I think I’m going home,” he said.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE THREE TIME CHAMPIONS, VAPOR!!!
