Veteran PFFL quarterback Steve Chockla didn’t waste any time, moving the red team deliberately down and capping the first drive off with a short touchdown pass to Bryan Maldonado. Maldonado was not selected as an original All Star and showed up as an alternate, determined to prove he should have been in the first cut.  The white team, led by All Star quarterback Cornell Mack, answered with a quick touchdown.

Chockla had an impressive game while Mack’s team moved much slower. Not gun shy, Chockla drops deep in the pocket and launches a bomb down the field. Maldonado makes an impressive touchdown catch, giving a good argument for why he deserved a first-round All Star spot. Red team up 13-6.

Then there is a back and forth as Sunbear Coe intercepts Mack’s ball and on the next play DJ Douglas intercepts Chockla’s ball. With another interception for Douglas, the white team starts to pick up momentum in the Steel Conference All Star game.

Douglas runs away with the game. After his back to back interceptions, he score back to back touchdowns to end the game 26-13 and advance the white team to meet the grey team from the Iron division in the All Star Game.
