If you want to be your best on week one of the season, practice in the off season

Week 1 of the PFFL season will be here before we know it. Here are a few ways you can prepare in the
off-season.

Eat Right

Weather your goal is to be picked up by an NFL team or just have a fun PFFL season, eating right is a great habit to get into. By eating a balanced diet of grains, veggies, fruits, and meats you’ll not only be in great shape for the season, but you’ll be on your way to lifelong healthy choices. Grains are a great source of energy, so eating pasta or cereal before the big game will give you a boost. Fruits and veggies are full of nutrients that will help your body develop into a sports star.

Stay Active

HealthyChildren.org recommends a half hour of physical activity a day for youth. The great part is that you can participate in a wide range of activities to stay fit. Biking, swimming, and playing sports are just a few ways to get active. The more active you are in your daily life, the better you’ll perform on the field.

Toss the Pig Skin

They say practice makes perfect. If you want to be your best on week one of the season, practice in the offseason. Grab your friends or siblings and play a quick game of flag football or catch in the backyard with your parents. Professional athletes spend countless hours running drills and practicing to get as good as they are and stay at the top of their game.
