Post game interview with Reggie Branson of the EAGLES

When the STEELERS and EAGLES played against each other in the regular season, the BIRDS narrowly defeated the STEELERS 26-20. Although the EAGLES were the victors, spectators were shocked after witnessing how resilient the STEELERS were against the league’s only undefeated team. Unfortunately for the black and yellow the EAGLES were much sharper against STEEL MEN to win the 10-13-year-old championship 36-12.

Although Anthony “Ragonomics” Rago played well (two receiving touchdowns), the EAGLES’ unsung hero all season and MVP of their first championship was Reggie Branson. While STEELERS’ Coach Sean Farr made defensive adjustments to shift the coverage to Rago, Branson took advantage of the lack of attention to his abilities. In particular, the young man rushed for two TDs and caught another one from EAGLES’ Quarterback Jake “Kozak” Kozarian. Also, Branson caught the interception from STEELERS’ QB Marquice “The Beast” Scott-Ford.

If the STEELERS were going to upset the EAGLES, they would need an all-time great performance from their star player Raymond “Heartburn” Hart. Right on cue the youth league vet produced another highlight after catching a pass tipped by Kozarian and dashing to the end zone. The score injected much needed on the STEELERS’ sideline after climbing out of a 14-0 deficit. Unfortunately Hart had to leave the game early due to medical reasons.

To be honest Hart’s absence from the STEELERS was devastating as his team had no answers for the EAGLES’ potent offense. Other than the Beast’s touchdown connection to Isaac Staresinic, the STEELERS were unable to keep up with their biggest adversaries.

Watching the best teams in the 10-13-year-old division was a pleasure. Hopefully the STEELERS will have their superstar back the next time these teams do battle.

CONGRAULATIONS TO THE FALL 2012 CHAMPION EAGLES!!!
