EAGLES Persevere Past STEELERS in 26-20 Victory

Although the STEELERS were predicted to lose by the PFFL odds makers, they were within a touchdown of pulling off the ultimate upset.

Last week when I was covering the EAGLES they looked like the best team in the league. Anthony “Ragonomics” Rago is on a different planet than most players. While the young man played well, the EAGLES narrowly escaped their match up with the STEELERS with a 26-20 win.

As usual Ragonomics led the EAGLES to victory by scoring all four of their touchdowns. On one spectacular play the star player scored after Quarterback Jake “Kozak” Kozarian used a play fake to hand the ball off to Rago. After seeing some daylight, he took off and never stopped until he entered the end zone.

In addition to Rago, Kozak played a solid game for the EAGLES. The young signal-caller threw two touchdowns in the face of heavy pressure from STEELERS’ Rusher Michael “Battle Cry” Williams. At first Williams was successful in sacking Kozak and forcing him into bad throws. Then on the EAGLES’ final scoring play, the QB ignored Battle Cry and connected with Rago down the left sideline to seal the win.

Although the STEELERS were predicted to lose by the PFFL odds makers, they were within a touchdown of pulling off the ultimate upset. Led by Raymond “Heartburn” Hart (he causes defenders to experience pain after he burns them for a big play), the STEELERS were able to put a scare into the hearts of the EAGLES. Heartburn rushed for one touchdown and caught two receptions for a couple more.

His teammate Marquice “The Beast” Scott-Ford complimented Hart’s game nicely with his contributions. The Beast solidified his status as one of the league’s best two-way players after he threw two touchdowns, caught another, and intercepted a pass from Kozarian.

While the four players listed above made the most noise with their performances, both teams benefited from their unsung heroes. First, EAGLES’ Wide Receiver Reggie Branson scored an extra point for the winning team. On the STEELERS’ sideline, Skylar Kunkel A.K.A. “The Lady of Steel” showed good hands on her two receptions for extra point conversions.

Something tells me that these teams will collide again in the playoffs.
