Coach Jason Russell is no rookie when it comes to winning championships. In the FALL 2011 season Coach Russ led the underdog CARDINALS to a title victory over the JETS. This time around the legendary coach is looking to capture another championship with the VIKINGS. Judging by their 25-12 victory over the SAINTS the VIKINGS look poised to make a run for the title.

Michael “Jackson 5” Crawford and Luca “Freaky Fast” Michnowicz were equally impressive in this game. Jackson 5 stole the show after scoring on a reverse handoff and then returning an interception for another touchdown. Crawford also intercepted an extra point attempt by the SAINTS’ on their final score. As for Freaky Fast, the young man scored the first and final touchdown for the VIKES.

While Coach Russell was able to dig deep into his playbook for the VIKINGS, SAINTS’ Coach Branden Ballard struggled to organize his defensive attack. For example, the VIKINGS exploited their opponents with reverse handoffs all game (see Joshua Ginyard’s highlight reel).

On the brighter side for the SAINTS, “Brady Bunch” Anderson played well. In fact, the young QB completed one touchdown pass to SAINTS’ Wide Receiver Finn Deringor and rushed for the last touchdown of the game.

Hopefully, Coach Ballard will be able to get the SAINTS back on track because if he faces Coach Russ in the playoffs then Ballard’s team will have its hands full.
