Every once in a while there is a player that stands tall above the rest in the PFFL Youth League. Some of you might recall Joshua “Super Cleats” DiMatteo as being one of those players. Since Super Cleats isn’t playing this year I might as well introduce you to Anthony “Ragonomics” Rago. The young man starred in the EAGLES’ 39-7 win over the PATRIOTS.

On the first play from scrimmage Rago scored on a “statue of liberty” play (made famous by Championship Coach Jason Bialek). Quarterback Jake “Kozak” Kozarian deceptively handed the ball off to Rago. Then Rago stood with the ball hidden behind his back before finally taking off for the end zone.

After that play Rago went on to score three more touchdowns thrown by Kozarian. While the starting QB played well all game, Ashley Jackson made some noise after throwing a touchdown to Tyler Yule.

Unluckily the PATS were not themselves when they played the EAGLES. Too many bad snaps and bobbled handoffs prevented them from scoring more than seven points. While Quarterback Evan “Tom Brady” DeWitt wasn’t as accurate as he normally is, he did make a nice completion to PATRIOTS’ Wide Receiver Thurgood Moses. Unfortunately, Moses accidentally stopped running before the first down marker and was tackled on third down.

Although Moses wasn’t able to pick up the first down, his brother Langston Moses scored the PATS’ only touchdown on a beautiful pick 6 interception thrown by Kozarian.

In addition to the brilliance of Ragonomics, Kozak succeeded at spreading the ball around to his other teammates. For example, the young signal-caller’s deep completion to Roberto Morrison set up Rago’s third receiving touchdown. Lastly, Kozak connected with Reggie Branson to put the exclamation point on the EAGLES’ big win.
