After I asked Jake how he was able to run for multiple touchdowns he responded, “I’m really fast.”

When most people think about youth flag football, excitement is the last thing that comes to mind. Parents expect their kids to run around until they’re too tired to move later instead of putting on a show. While conventional wisdom is almost always right, the FALCONS and SAINTS took their game into overtime with the FALCONS winning 31-25.

Everyone on the FALCONS contributed to the victory; however, one young man produced a performance for the ages. Jake Fuller rushed for three touchdowns and returned an interception for another score. Time after time this young man provided home run plays for his team.

In addition to Fuller’s impressive debut in the Fall 2012 season, his teammates also delivered big plays. For example, FALCONS Wide Receiver John Kozar got the party started with a speedy touchdown run. Also Aidan Wolynn did a great job managing the FALCONS offense. Lastly, Ava Deringor was the crowd pleaser, drawing oohs and ahhs from her adoring public.

Although the game went into overtime, the FALCONS were blowing the SAINTS out until Amelia Whitacre and Aidan Minnock teamed up to make the game interesting. First, Whitacre took a handoff from SAINTS Quarterback Brady Anderson to the house for her team’s second TD. Then, Minnock scored on back-to-back rushes to force overtime.

Overall, both teams left everything they had out on the field and by all of the cheers I could tell that the fans enjoyed the show.
