PANTHERS pulled off the ultimate upset in a 24-7 victory over the 49ERS

Coming into their matchup against the 49ers, the PANTHERS were struggling to win games. The offense was sputtering and the defense was giving up to many big plays to their opponents. Despite their 1-3 record the PANTHERS pulled off the ultimate upset in a 24-7 victory over the 49ERS.

One of the PANTHERS shining stars in Benjamin Haselrig. In his third season with the Youth League the young man has grown into an effective veteran player. Case in point, Haselrig scored the PANTHERS’ first two touchdowns. On his second score, Haslerig ran a pigtail route popularized by Adult League All-Star and PANTHERS Coach Jason Bialek.

Also, Quarterback Abramo Delduca was an effective passer for the PANTHERS as he threw for two TDs against the 49ERS defense. He’s quietly becoming a solid leader for the teal and black squad.

Jacoby Dupree continues to impress with his defensive instincts. In particular, the young athlete undercut a pass intended for a 49ERS’ player and completed the catch for a big PANTHERS’ interception.

Another positive sign for the winners was a thrilling play made by Jehlani Alston. On a broken play, Alston cut back from a 49ERS defender and dashed down the middle of the field for the PANTHERS’ final touchdown.

While the 49ERS looked surprisingly unprepared for the PANTHERS’ game plan, they did manage to make a couple of nice plays. For instance, Josh Pandey made his presence known with his interception that set up the 49ERS only touchdown. Also, Maximus “Prime” Hutson outleaped everyone to pick off another pass from Delduca.
