RAIDERS “Do Work” in Convincing Win

Last week when Coach Sean Farr picked his roster, I instantly thought that Farr had drafted one of the best youth teams in league history. Based on the RAIDERS’ convincing 19-6 victory over the SAINTS, I was right.

Anthony “Do Work” Stevenson was a beast from the get-go. On the opening drive of the first half for the RAIDERS, Do Work ran past several SAINTS defenders to notch the game’s first touchdown. Then after remaining relatively quiet for most of the second half, Stevenson grabbed two consecutive sacks on SAINTS Quarterback Troy Johnson.

As usual Jonathan “Michael Vick” Wellen played at a superhuman level. The signal-caller passed for two touchdowns. Never one to be speechless about his team Wellen said, “We’re a good team and we’re gonna win the championship…you already know that.”

In addition to Wellen and Stevenson, Jo Jo “Tupperware” Butler and Jeremy “Durant” Sowell were awesome on defense and offense. As a matter of fact, both players scored one touchdown and caught an interception.

“It felt great,” Butler said when asked about playing with Vick. “Me and Michael Vick were such a great team together. We always do good.”

In regards to Sowell’s assessment of his own performance, he replied “I think I just did my best. I cooperated with my teammates.”

On the losing sideline, Johnson struggled to run a consistent offensive scheme. The PANTHERS’ lone touchdown came on a spectacular play by Jake “Kozak” Kozarian. Kozak stretched his arms and tap danced to secure the score at the back of the end zone.
