“I was cheering for my team but of course I wanted him [Jacoby] to do okay”

In a battle between a father and son, the Luther “Lou” Dupree-coached PACKERS ran all over the PANTHERS in his team’s 30-8 win. Dupree’s son Jacoby plays for the PANTHERS.

“I was cheering for my team but of course I wanted him [Jacoby] to do okay,” the father said. When asked how hard it was to coach against his son, Lou replied: “It was real tough. We talked about it on the way here, I said ‘Jake you’re gonna be on my team probably and then when we got here and found out that he wasn’t it was kind of awkward.”

For the PACK, Devontae “Jodeci” Johnson was a force to reckon with. In particular, Jodeci scored the game’s first touchdown on a rushing play. Later on, the young man grabbed two interceptions including the latter one which he returned for the game’s final touchdown.

Also, Anthony “Swag” Jagers II scored back-to-back receiving touchdowns for the PACKERS. Quarterback Eric Gary did a great job of running the offense, especially when he connected with Swagger.

Lastly, DaShaun “Tony” Dorsett scored a touchdown on an impressive rushing play.

While Lou’s team won the contest, Jacoby definitely put his stamp on the final outcome. First, the younger Dupree intercepted an extra point conversion attempt by Gary and was awarded two points due to the league’s “last man” rule. Then on the ensuing drive, Jacoby scored a rushing TD to cut the deficit to 12-8.

Although Jacoby played a good individual game, he was not pleased with the way that his PANTHERS performed. “I think we need to stay in our positions and not go everywhere,” he said.
