the JETS are the best of the best

If you’ve been watching the PFFL Youth League this season, you’re already familiar with who the most talented team is. A league-best 5-1 record says that the JETS are the best of the best. That’s why not too many spectators were shocked after the guys in green soared past the PATRIOTS 33-0.

Two of the biggest reasons behind the JETS success against the PATS are Jonathan “Michael Vick” Wellen and Dashawn “All Day Day” Shaffer. Both players were unstoppable as they scored on the overmatched PATS defense.

Michael Vick threw three touchdowns and rushed for two more. Shaffer caught two of those scores and added a rushing touchdown to his tally. At times the two middle schoolers appeared to be running drills in practice because once they got in space, they repeatedly sprinted into the end zone untouched. Also, Jordan “Cyclops” Myers sacked Hayden “Wild Thing” Brook.

While the PATRIOTS were a force of flag football electricity all season, they couldn’t adapt to the speed of the JETS offense. Coach Andy Krawchyk struggled to make adjustments to his team’s defensive scheme.

Although they played poorly, several PATS players showed tremendous heart from start to finish. Wild Thing, Milan “Karate Kid” Lauscher, and Evan “Tom Brady” De Witt led the PATS with a “never-say-die” attitude. All of the players should celebrate their accomplishments this season and get ready to beat the JETS in Spring 2012!
