In their first season with the PFFL Youth League, the JETS have quickly established themselves as the cream of the crop. Led by dynamic Quarterback Jonathan “Michael Vick” Wellen, the team earned a 3-1 record coming into their matchup with the PATRIOTS. Much like their other games, the JETS continued their winning ways with a 13-6 victory over the PATS.

As usual Wellen was instrumental in the JETS’ big win. For example, Wellen took a handoff coast-to-coast for the green team’s first touchdown. The score set the tone for the rest of the game. Particularly, PATRIOTS’ Coach and PFFL All-Star Andy Krawchyk had difficulty adjusting his defensive schemes for Vick’s unique talents.

Although they gave up an early touchdown to Wellen, the PATS were not going to just lay down for their opponents. Evan “Tom Brady” De Witt made several impressive throws throughout the game. Specifically, the QB hooked up with Milan “Karate Kid” Lauscher to even the score at six points. On this particular play Tom Brady hit Lauscher in stride. Karate Kid got a step on the JETS’ defense and never looked back as he sprinted to the end zone.

As the game approached its final two minutes, the pressure seemed to be affecting both squads. First Jo Jo Butler threw an interception to the PATRIOTS Robert Wilson. Then Wellen caught an interception from Tom Brady.

Since both teams were committing turnovers, the game would have to be decided by one clutch performer. That performer was Butler A.K.A. “Tupperware.” Deep in PATRIOTS’ territory, Tupperware ran a great route and caught the game-winning TD for the JETS.

Mr. Butler earned his nickname because he contains every pass that is thrown to him. If Tupperware continues to play well, the JETS will be tough to beat in the playoffs.
