The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

This week we want to dedicate this list to team progress and lack thereof across the league.

This past weekend we saw many great things on the field, but as in all weeks of adult flag football there will be a mixture Good, Bad and Ugly things to draw attention to.  This week we want to dedicate this list to team progress and lack thereof across the league. With twenty two teams across the entire landscape along with close to twenty  Rookie Free Agents sprinkled throughout we ad plenty of material to draw our conclusions from.

THE GOOD

VULTUERZ

  • Have managed to only give up 6 points in 4 total games with a defense that has proven to be beyond stingy.
  • One time Offensive player of the Year Lance Brunsell was missing this past week and the team did not miss a step by plugging in back-up QB Zach Stewart.

STEELTOWN

  • Quietly looking like the STEELTOWN of old, this team has moved up the standings to a 5 – 1 records through outstanding QB play from Chris Sullivan.
  • The merger of BALLZ DEEP into to STEELTOWN is proving that experience is far out pacing the youth movement in the PFFL.

LIGHTS OUT

  • Hats off to their unorthodox style of play, because these men are flat out finding a way to win!

THE BAD

CONQUEST

  • RUSH THE QUARTERBACK! Having zero sacks at this point in the season says you either don’t care or you secondary is that good.
  • This team sits at a 3 – 2 record but if the defense doesn’t pick up, things may take a turn for the worse.

SQUAWWWD

  • These guys get an “A” for athleticism and “D-“ for organization and knowing the rules. There is nothing more heartbreaking when you see a team with talent, but they get in the way of their own success.

SAVAGES

  • SHOW UP ON TIME…. Being habitually late for games shows no respect for your teammates, opponents and the league as a whole.

THE UGLY

NO TEAM, JUST PLAYERS WITH NO JERSEY NUMBERS

  • You know who you are and the negligence that you display by not having a number on a shirt is terrible.
  • Having a number (doesn’t matter the style) allows for stat keeper s to do their job effectively and accurately.

NO TEAM, JUST PLAYERS WHO DON’T SHOW UP

  • Why pay money and not show up????
  • Every team must have at least 6 players and the reality is most teams should run with 7 just to be on the safe side.
  • As advice to aspiring General Managers, always go with consistency over talent.
