Youth Flag Football on Sundays vs Saturdays

The conflict with Steeler games is less than you think

A lot of parents recently have raised some concern about changing the Youth League schedule from Saturday mornings to Sunday late morning / early afternoon. Most of the concerns have been raised because of Steelers games along with the conflict of many soccer clubs. Although the transition to Sundays has been taking place for many months, we want to reassure everyone that the conflict with Steeler games will be minimal if at all.

Below is a chart that outlines the projected schedule of the Youth League along with the NFL Schedule of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  As it currently stands, the first sign of potential overlap with a Steelers game will happen Week #2 (September 27th) when the Steelers have a 1:00pm kick-off. The next potential overlap will not arise until Week #5 (October 18th & October 25th) when there is also another 1:00pm kickoff.

We realize that Steeler games do not dictate what we all do in our lives on a weekly basis, but we thought it would be a good idea to provide a visualization to everyone to have an understanding of what lies ahead. When considering any potential conflicts with soccer games, please keep in mind that both practices and games are on Sundays with a typical time commitment of about 2 hours.
