Grant “Head & Shoulders” Ganot is hands down the best player in the Youth League today. His impeccable playmaking ability on both sides of the ball combined with his championship trophies have elevated the leader of the STEELERS to the top of the class. Why any team would not double Ganot when he’s on offense is beyond me. Unfortunately, the JETS were unable to stop the PFFL’s version of Troy Polamalu in a 26-6 loss to the STEELERS.

Unsurprisingly Ganot scored every touchdown for the victors. In fact Head & Shoulders opened the game with a pick-6 touchdown and closed the game with a pick-6 touchdown. When all was said and done, the young man had a final stat line of two pick-6 TDs, one passing TD, and one rushing TD. Is there any play that this kid cannot make?

One of Ganot’s touchdowns was a beautiful play to STEELERS’ Wide Receiver Gavin Morgenstern. The significance of this play was major for several reasons. First, it showed that someone other than Ganot is able to make a play in the clutch. Second, the play showed perseverance by both young men involved because on the previous play Ganot failed to deliver a catchable ball to Morgenstern that should have resulted in an easy TD. Lastly, the score allowed the STEELERS to maintain their momentum after building up a 13-0 lead at halftime.

Although the JETS failed to get going offensively for much of the game, there was one play where they provided a highlight for Coach Chris. On the third down on the goal line, Kalondre Stokes converted a delayed handoff into a rushing TD for “Gang Green.”

Overall the JETS were unable to contain Ganot in all three phases of offense (passing, rushing, and receiving.) Their only hope for slowing down Head & Shoulders will be to have Stokes rush Ganot when he is playing quarterback or cover him man-to-man when the playmaker is playing receiver.
