VIKINGS Defeat SAINTS in Convincing 30-12 Win

On a rainy Sunday afternoon, the VIKINGS were simply too much for the SAINTS to handle as the former won over the latter 30-12.

Coach Jeremiah Davis called an effective game for his team’s high-powered offense. A big reason why the VIKES have been so successful this season is because their starting quarterback Danny Marcinko is able to process Coach Davis’s play-calls as fast as any quarterback in the Middle Division not named Michael Sabo.

Marcinko has developed a strong rapport with all of his receivers. In particular, the young QB likes to take advantage of Youth League Champion WR Grant “Head & Shoulders” Ganot’s exceptional hands and speed. At least two times in the game, Marcinko dropped back and hit Ganot right on the money with screen passes that the playmaker advanced to the end zone. After seeing this tandem put up big points for the purple squad, I would advise all coaches to not allow Ganot to work his magic against single coverage, because he will punish any defender with his playmaking ability if there is not sufficient safety help over the top.

In addition to Marcinko and Ganot, another VIKINGS’ player contributed greatly to the impressive win. Ibrahim “Sack Machine” Green terrorized SAINTS QB Cai Green all game. The Sack Machine collected three sacks to help limit the SAINTS’ offensive production.

Although the final score indicates that this game was lopsided in the VIKINGS’ favor, the real story is that the SAINTS played much better with Coach Markus Allen returning to the sideline. At the beginning of the game, brothers Cai and Cade Green A.K.A. “Zack & Cody” led their team in an energetic chant of “WHO DAT SAY THEY GON’ BEAT THEM SAINTS!” Under center Cai showed poise from the pocket. His deep completions to Cade and Youth League Champion Martin Staresinic were beautiful to watch.

Also, Josihya Strait A.K.A. “Josi Westbrook” played her heart out. The media team coined Josi’s nickname after seeing the intensity that she displayed when making several key tackles and sacks on Marcinko.

Unfortunately, the absences of Running Back Jalil Morris and Safety Adam Knauer were too much for the SAINTS to overcome. The silver lining for the SAINTS is that I expect them to play much better once their stars return to the team.
