GIANTS’ Head Coach and PFFL star Quincy Stephenson experienced a lot of growing pains during his debut with the Youth League last season. As the coach of the BENGALS, Stephenson had to overcome injuries to star players, tough losses, and calling plays for a quarterback with a unique skill set. Ultimately, the BENGALS underachieved and exited the Fall 2014 playoffs quietly.

This season Coach Stephenson is reaping the benefits of his hard work now that he’s on the GIANTS. Through Week 4 of the Spring 2015 season, the GIANTS sit atop the Upper Division with a flawless 4-0 record.

In their most recent game the GIANTS exerted their dominance over the RAIDERS to the tune of a 32-0 shutout victory. Youth League Champion Christopher Dotson Jr. starred in this matchup. The young man caught three receiving touchdowns, including one on the play directly following an interception that he caught on defense. In addition to his offensive prowess, Dotson caught two interceptions and returned the second for the game’s final TD.

Additionally, multiple Youth League Champion Isaac Staresinic put his stamp on the game with several receptions including one that went for a TD.

One of the compelling subplots to the big game by Dotson was the fact that Coach Stephenson called an excellent game in spite of the absence of GIANTS’ starting QB Matt Gauntner. In his place, Eric Naper stepped in and did a masterful job of putting points on the board.

If this game is any indicator of the type of coaching that Stephenson will bring to the playoffs then there will definitely be a championship trophy in the GIANTS’ future.
