This Sunday two undefeated teams will take the field in an effort to challenge the 2-0 BILLS for supremacy over the Lower Division. Ladies and gentlemen, I bring you the Youth League Game of the Week featuring the TITANS and the CHIEFS!

So far the TITANS have demonstrated the uncanny ability to jump out to a huge lead over an opponent in the first half and then seal the deal in the final moments of the game.Their 31-0 win over the COLTS is symbolic of just how dominant Coach Lamar Russell’s TITANS can be. Siblings Ray Russ and Rayven Russ are fearless runners that allow Coach Russ to deploy both players in two-back sets. Jayden Turner is another playmaker on the TITANS’ roster. Finally, Madden Barone brings veteran savvy to the team that often results in him being a player-coach when he’s on the field with his teammates.

Conversely, the CHIEFS are more methodical in their approach to games. In their first matchup against the COWBOYS, the CHIEFS escaped a 12-7 deficit at halftime to beat the ‘BOYS at the buzzer 13-12. Unlike the TITANS, Coach Jimmy Kitchen does not have the luxury of dynamic playmakers on his roster. As a result, the CHIEFS’ offense is more team-oriented. Joseph Kitchen is the emotional leader on the team because of his energy and great experience. Sean Smith is another solid player whose competitive spirit is on par with some of our players in the Adult League.

Nevertheless, this matchup on Sunday will be a great test for both teams. The TITANS want to play uptempo and defeat the CHIEFS in blowout fashion. Meanwhile, the CHIEFS want to turn this game into a defensive struggle that will allow them to steal the game at the end.

Although I expect the TITANS to win, the CHIEFS could turn this matchup into the classic “trap game.”

On any given Sunday...
