The WOLVERINES outscored GREEN MACHINE 20-6 in the second half to win by the comfortable margin of 35-19. WOLVERINES’ Quarterback Sam Fareri was sensational, completing 18 of his 25 throws for touchdowns and zero interceptions.

When Fareri wasn’t running first downs, he was easily connecting with players in his receiving corps. Specifically, Michael McLaughlin (five receptions, one touchdown), Clay Smith (six receptions, two TDs) and Damon Smith (five receptions) made major contributions to the game. In addition, Bosas and Zach Malloy both caught TDs for the X-MEN CHARACTERS.

At halftime, the game was very competitive. The WOLVERINES worked hard to escape the first half with a 15-13 lead over their opponents. Unfortunately for GREEN MACHINE, the LOGANS pitched a near-shutout in the second half to secure a win in Week 2.

GREEN MACHINE QB Adam Bakerfelt turned in a solid yet underwhelming performance. Yes he completed 17 of his 25 passes and threw for a touchdown. Nevertheless, Bakerfelt committed a costly turnover when Defensive Back Brandon McMurray stepped in front of a telegraphed pass and gave Fareri a short field to manager on a second half drive. Michael Bosas and Zack Hall led the GREEN MACHINE receiving corps with seven receptions apiece.

Overall, the WOLVERINES are young and hungry. As long as they continue to improve on the fundamentals of the game they should continue to progress.
