The CARDINALS just were not able to get their first win and serve the GIANTS their first loss Saturday at George Cupples Stadium.

Luca Michnowicz started with an impressive throw to Jaylen Patterson Bey to move the GIANTS up field. Then Patterson Bey gets the ball again and bounces off CARDINALS defender Rayven Russ, knocking her to the ground, before running into the end zone.

The CARDINALS try to answer and had a very nice run, but unfortunately the runner was out of bounds sprinting down the sideline. The ball goes back to the GIANTS and Patterson Bey makes a big catch despite good defense from Russ and scores.

Cole Starrett was not going to let him team finish the game scoreless, and ran the entire length of the field past several GIANTS defenders to put them on the board. Coach Lamar Russ called that the team was going for two and Michnowicz found a reviver but his flag was pulled just before he crossed the goal line.

The GINANTS handed the ball to Gideon Rockwood who took off down the field. Teammate Carina Loya finished the drive with a solid catch inside the end zone with only a  minute left to play.
